The Challenge

The client produces oil off the coast of Mauritania and generates, regular volumes of sludge that are stored in big-bags before disposal. The client’s production of hazardous and potentially NORM-contaminated wastes (NORM = naturally occurring radioactive material) reached over 250t. They required a high reactivity and strong expertise in segregation and characterisation techniques to assure safe disposal and compliance with environmental regulations.
