Our solutions for on-site energy management

Depending on our customers' energy needs, our on-site energy solutions include a range of technologies and applications. These innovative solutions, coupled with our expertise in operation and maintenance, enable our customers to focus on their core business, while Veolia improves the overall energy efficiency, sustainability, and reliability.

Microgrids

Microgrids are small decentralised electricity networks, allowing for localised management of electricity production and demand. These decentralised networks are separated from the main grid, supplying electricity to groups of facilities within the surrounding area, enabling the reduction of energy cost, greenhouse gas emissions and increase in resilience. Microgrid developments featuring a range of technologies including combined heat & power (CHP), storage and renewables have been successfully implemented globally by Veolia with our integrated expertise in energy system analysis, engineering and operations.

Combined Heat and Power

CHP, also known as cogeneration, is a sustainable and efficient energy solution that recycles waste heat and converts it into useful thermal energy. The simultaneous production of power and thermal energy consumes less fuel, improving the overall efficiency. Veolia is a world leader in heating and cooling networks with numerous CHP projects globally. No matter what the technology (thermal engine, gas turbine, steam turbine) and energy source (biogas, gas, biomass, coal), Veolia has the resources to develop a turnkey solution to meet your needs and expectations.

Central Utility Plants

With thousands of energy installations managed worldwide, Veolia operates, maintains and manages complex energy plants and facility infrastructure systems to meet sustainability objectives, maximise efficiencies and minimise risk for our customers. By leveraging a life-cycle approach, combined with a thorough preventive and predictive maintenance program, we deliver operational savings, peak efficiencies and emission reductions for a wide range of industries.

Renewable Energy

Renewables represent an important opportunity to reduce emissions and increase energy independence, and in some cases, installing your own renewable generation can also save money and increase resilience. We evaluate renewables projects holistically—financially, technically, environmentally—to develop projects that we are confident will be successful. We can fulfil customer requirements ranging from feasibility analysis for on-site generation, to project management for industrial-scale developments.

Veolia is uniquely positioned to service industry, government and commercial entities in improving performance, managing water, waste and energy.
